Refund policy
Overview
This Refund & Returns Policy applies to all purchases made from GameSphere (a trading name of SC Ecommerce Ltd).
It works alongside our Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, and Privacy Policy, and does not affect your statutory rights under UK law.
1. Your Right To Cancel (Physical Products)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel most orders for physical goods within 14 days of receiving your item.
To exercise your right to cancel:
- You must notify us within 14 days of delivery
- You then have a further 14 days to return the item
Conditions
- Items must be returned unused and in original packaging
- You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect
Refunds
- Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods
- Refunds are made to the original payment method
2. Non-Returnable Items (Physical Products)
The right to cancel does not apply to:
- Sealed goods that are not suitable for return once opened (e.g. certain hygiene-related items)
- Items that have been used, installed, or damaged beyond reasonable inspection
- Any items returned incomplete or without original packaging
3. Faulty, Damaged Or Incorrect Items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to a remedy if goods are:
- Faulty
- Not as described
- Not fit for purpose
Your rights
- Within 30 days: You can request a full refund
- After 30 days: We may offer a repair or replacement first
If a repair or replacement is not possible, you are entitled to a refund.
We will:
- Cover return shipping costs
- Resolve the issue as quickly as possible
4. Digital Products (Important)
This section applies to digital goods such as:
- PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo codes
- Digital gift cards or downloadable content
No Right to Cancel After Delivery
By purchasing digital content, you agree that:
- Delivery begins immediately
- Your 14-day cancellation right is waived once the code has been delivered, in line with UK law
Refund Eligibility
We do not offer refunds where:
- The code has been delivered and accessed
- The code has been successfully redeemed
Exceptions
You may be eligible for a refund or replacement if:
- The code is faulty or does not work
- The wrong product was supplied
We may request evidence to verify the issue before issuing a refund or replacement.
5. Fraud Prevention & Order Security
To protect customers and prevent fraud (particularly for digital products):
We reserve the right to:
- Delay or hold orders for verification
- Request proof of identity
- Cancel and refund orders flagged as high-risk
If an order is cancelled for security reasons, a full refund will be issued.
6. Returns Process
To start a return, contact us at:
Please include:
- Your order number
- Reason for return
- Photos (if item is faulty or damaged)
If your return is approved:
- You will receive instructions on how to return your item
Items sent without prior approval may not be accepted.
7. Return Shipping Costs
- Customer responsibility: Change-of-mind returns
- Our responsibility: Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items
We recommend using a tracked service, as we are not responsible for returns lost in transit.
8. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected:
- You will be notified of the outcome
- Approved refunds are processed within 14 days
Refunds are issued to your original payment method.
9. Late Or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund after 15 days:
- Check your bank account
- Contact your payment provider
